Ultrasonic Cavitation and RF Treatment FAQs
What is Ultrasound Cavitation?
Ultrasound Cavitation is one of the most advanced systems on today’s market. Using Ultrasound Cavitation and Radio Frequency, the Ultrasound-Cavitation Treatment allows your body to break down fat cells. These cells are then metabolized through your body’s natural removal processes. Unlike traditional liposuction, Cavitation Liposuction uses no injections, anesthesia, and there is no down time making it the perfect treatment for removal of fat and cellulite. Whether you want to remove belly, thigh, arm, hip, chin or back fat, cavitation liposuction with RF is the breakthrough treatment for you!
Why should I get Ultrasonic Cavitation?
The fat is eliminated naturally, being processed by your body's own filtration system. Compared to surgical methods (gastric bypass, lap band, liposuction, etc), there is no scarring, no bleeding, no risk of infection, no pain, no down-time for recovery and, in most cases, Ultrasonic Cavitation is much more affordable. Compared to fat-freezing and laser fat removal procedures (such as iLipo, Zerona and SmartLipo), results are more immediate and there is absolutely no pain or down-time.
How does Ultrasonic Cavitation work?
The Ultrasonic Cavitation machine uses high-frequency sound waves to disrupt the fat cell walls, which causes the fat cells to "leak" their contents into the fluid spaces of your body. From there, your lymph system picks up this waste material (the loose fat) and begins circulating it through your body until it can be processed by the liver and eliminated with sweat, urine and feces. The results are visibly noticeable immediately, however the entire process can take several days, and you will continue to experience results during this time.
Who can get Ultrasonic Cavitation treatments?
The best candidates for Ultrasonic fat removal are healthy men and women who are moderately overweight, wishing to lose between 5-100 pounds (calculate your ideal weight here, and your BMI here.) You are NOT a good candidate if you are pregnant or nursing, taking anticoagulants, if you have a pacemaker or metal implants or if you have keloids, recent surgeries or severe health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer or tumors, epilepsy, abnormally high or low blood pressure, hemophilia, thrombosis, phlebitis, tuberculosis, current infection or infectious disease, immunodeficiency or a compromised lymph system. If you have any doubt as to whether you are healthy enough to receive treatments, you should consult with your physician first.
On what area of my body can I use the Ultrasound Cavitation?
Common areas are: stomach, thighs, hips, back, chin, and arms. There is no limit to where you can use the Ultrasound Cavitation, but areas with larger amounts of localized fat are likely to see a better result.
How quickly will I begin to see results?
You should notice a measurable difference immediately after your first treatment, with the most dramatic difference observable 72 hours after each treatment.
How much result can I expect after each treatment?
Results with Ultrasonic Cavitation will vary depending on how long the fat has existed, how dense it is, how hydrated you are, how well your lymph is circulating, etc. Immature, light and "fluffy" fat is much easier to eliminate than mature, dense fat, and thin lymph fluid will yield more rapid results than thick, viscous fluid.
Will I end up with saggy skin if I lose a lot of weight?
We use Tri-polar Fractional RF Skin Tightening is a non-ablative treatment which means that it doesn’t damage outer layers of skin (the epidermis) but it does however cause a specific type of micro trauma to the lower dermal layers of the skin which stimulates elastin and collagen production.
RF or Radio frequency electromagnetic energy is safe, non-invasive and a pain-free way to tighten skin that may have lost some of its elasticity around the forehead, eyes, cheeks, jaw line, mouth and under the chin and neck. It is also an effective way to tighten skin on the body such as post birth tummy or where someone has lost a few pounds in weight.
What is RF or radio frequency?
Radio frequency or RF skin tightening treatment is an innovative therapy that uses radio frequency electromagnetic waves (energy waves in the range of about 3 kHz to 300 GHz) to stimulate collagen development deep within the dermal layers of the skin. Radio frequency re-structures and contracts existing collagen and stimulates fresh collagen production to give noticeable yet natural results. Clients benefit from a healthier, smoother and more youthful looking skin. The unique combination of processes involved in RF skin tightening provides both an immediate uplifting effect, followed by further longer term skin tightening, restructuring and rejuvenating benefits. Radio frequency also gives deep, controlled heating of the fatty layers under the skin, which means that superficial fatty deposits can be broken down and drained through the lymphatic system, reducing the appearance of cellulite.
How often can/should I receive Ultrasonic Cavitation treatments?
You can safely receive Ultrasonic Cavitation treatments as often as every 3 days, we advise once a week. Of course, the more frequently you receive treatments, the faster and more dramatic will be your results.
How many total Ultrasonic Cavitation treatments will I need?
The answer to this question varies a great deal, as there are many factors to consider. For example, you need to consider how much fat you want to eliminate, how long the fat has been there, how dense the fat is, etc. Typically, a post-pregnancy patient wishing to eliminate a "muffin-top" leftover from childbirth may need 3-6 abdominal treatments, while a person who has been moderately obese for several years may need twice as many.
How much time do I need to take off work for recovery?
There is absolutely no pain, and no recovery time after treatments! The treatment is warm, soothing and pleasant - much like a hot stone massage. You can receive a treatment during your lunch hour and then drive yourself back to work immediately afterward.
Will the effect be long-lasting?
The length of time that the body shaping will last for is really in your hands. How much you eat and how much exercise you take will also affect your long-term body shape. So if you take in more calories than you use, you weight and fat will increase and the permanent removal of fat cells from your treatment will be hidden by your weight gain.
What are the potential side-effects?
While side-effects are rarely reported, they occur occasionally, and usually involve a slight redness or irritation of the skin that resolves within a few hours. There is also a potential to feel an increase in energy, since the body will naturally attempt to use some of the energy reserves released from the fat. Independent studies have shown a decrease in cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
- Increased thirst (which makes the requirement for increased water consumption much easier!) Slight headache beginning a few hours after treatment (presumably due to the release of toxins from the fat cells).
- Decreased appetite & decreased capacity for over-eating (presumably due to toning/tightening effect on the stomach)
- Fewer physical aches & pains (presumably due to weight loss resulting in less strain on the body)
Do I need to do anything before or after the treatments?
In order to make your treatments more effective, you will want to be sure to drink plenty of water (at least 1.5 liters) before and after your treatment. We also recommend eating a low calorie diet and minimizing your intake of carbohydrates and fat for at least 24 hours before hand. This will help to burn any fatty acid and glucose stores in your body. After your treatment, you will want to do a light exercise to aid in the expulsion of the fat through your lymphatic system, such as taking a 30 minute walk.
